Titan and I stood there on the beach, watching the waves roll up against the sand, the last rays of light were slipping over the horizon. I put my hand on his head. Then I began to feel dizzy, weak. My legs forgot their use and I fell to the ground. My whole body tingled, like it was numb, and then the world went dark.
I’m not sure how long I had been unconscious. When I sat up and saw a man standing by the water’s edge. He had a small boat and was grumbling over his fishing net, but when he saw me, he froze.

“I should ask you the same thing. This stretch of the beach is my property, and there is a no fishing sign right over there. You are trespassing,” I folded my arms. It was not the friendliest approach, but this man had appeared out of nowhere. His sandy hair reflected the orange rays right before they disappeared, and for that moment I was transfixed.
